Together with sports teacher Vineta and the young women of the European Volunteering Project! At the “Rūķīša” meadow sports festival, the smallest insects fly in the play meadow, happily smile at the sun, run, crouch and hide behind flowers. The largest ones compete like fast grasshoppers and hardworking ants: overcoming obstacles, climbing and jumping over the field structures, rolling balls around cones and steering in zigzags back and forth.

 Along with spring, the awakening of nature, the return of migratory birds, when the day becomes longer than the night, we celebrate Easter. Elisabeth gets to know folk traditions and participates in Easter celebration activities.

This is what the staff of "Rūkiša" presented to the students of the institution as their musically attractive birthday gift this year.This year, the performances in which Elizabeth took part alternated in a unified range of emotions, like a magical kaleidoscope.

Today, 6-year-old children and teachers visited the Gulbene regional high school, participating in the educational event "Shadow primary school students". Elisabe got to know the school environment and the learning process, gaining experience in the everyday life of the school. Thank you to the staff and teachers of the Gulbene regional high school for the warm welcome!

Elizabeth participates in a folk dance concert. She has been dancing in the Gulbene folk dance group "Ratiņš" for five months. She has mastered Latvian dance steps and is happy to participate in a children's folk dance concert together with 5-year-old children. 

On February 17, the young women of the volunteer project invited children to the "Green" party. It was a warm, fun creative activity with dances, songs and creative work. Thank you to the young women of the project - Elisabeth, Naira, Matilde, Benedetta for the beautiful gift to the "Rūķīša" children.

On February 12th and 13th, Elisabeth told the children about herself and the project at Gulbene Regional Secondary School.

From February 4th to February 6th, Elisabeth attended the mid-term training organized by JSPA.

Elisabeth, together with children of the 6-year-old age group, spent an interesting learning day visiting the SIA “ZAAO” nature and technology park “Urda”, learning about the circular economy: reducing consumption, reusing things and recycling sorted materials.They experienced a research trip to the landfill - circular economy center "Daibe"; got to know the laboratory, its equipment; conducted research on plastic packaging of different goods; got to know chemical safety labels and made a ba ...

Every Tuesday we welcome the young women of the 1st PII Ecoschool volunteer project - Benedetta and Naira, and on Thursdays Matilde, who is involved in the preschool education groups of Lejasciems Elementary School. The girls fit perfectly into the group's daily activities. Children are offered a variety of activities: English, practical classes with various materials, the basics of drawing and first painting, games and play. A novelty for children is the ukulele game.
